SEPHORA FORMULA X NAIL POLISHES

Once I saw the fabulous Estee` from Essie Button post about the Sephora Formula X Nail Polishes I figured I had to try them for myself. You get the Cleanse, Prime and Shine polishes in the set with a choice of your own colour. I opted for "In The Sun", a gorgeous Pink toned Coral shade that will look unreal with a tan. I also got the colour Incandescent as I couldn't choose between the two, oops!!

The Cleanse polish doesn't feel or look like it does that much however I've been using it first as that is what is suggested, followed by the Primer coat which dries super fast. After leaving my nails for a minute I am not lieing when I say you only have to apply 1 coat of the actual colour polish for a bold colour. (See below)

Topped off with the chip resistant Shine coat makes the polish feel almost like a gel polish, really smooth and glossy just like a manicure from the salon.

This would make a great gift for someone with an interest in trying new nail polishes, not only new colours. Although the polishes are made in the UK (according to the packaging) they do not sell them here so you'll have to order directly from the Sephora website - boo..

MAC LIPSTICK COLLECTION

I've always been more of a bold lip, subtle eye kinda girl as you can probably tell by the lipsticks you're about to see. I'm a huge fan of MAC lipsticks - especially the Matte ones. Some of the more pale colours can have quite a drying effect but the bolder brighter colours seem to last for hours, even after eating and drinking. I thought I'd share my collection with you although some of the shades are very similar they all look slightly different on the lips and I can imagine even more individual on different skin tones.

Choice for today - Ruby Woo

ANASTASIA BROW WIZ

A few days ago I was very luckily gifted some products from the US by a family friend and one of those was the Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz. It's very rare that it takes me less than a couple of weeks to really start enjoying a product but this is something else. Unlike most eyebrow pencils, Anastasia have a large colour range with 9 very natural shades to chose from. I opted for Medium Brown as I am trying to get my hair a lighter brown and it's a perfect match!!

The packaging is so simple yet sleek and the lids on each end are really secure which means no chance of them falling off in my make up bag and damaging the product - it happens trust me!! R.I.P MAC Lipsticks and Kohl Eyeliners.......

The actual product itself is a lot softer than a normal pencil however proves to last a lot longer without smudging or wearing away, great for people like me on 10 hour shifts with no chance of re-application! It also comes with an amazing quality spooly on the other end for taming those brows to perfection.

As far as I'm aware Anastasia isn't available in the UK, however there are plenty of US websites that ship to the UK for a slightly higher charge but trust me when I say it is gonna be sooooo worth it.

SHEINSIDE OBSESSION

I've been a huge fan of Sheinside clothing for a long time now and their range of clothing for every season and every style still manages to amaze me. Although summer is still not making a huge appearance here in the UK, I thought I would put together a little wishlist to give you an insight of what they have to offer if you've been living under a rock and have never heard of them.

As you can probably tell I'm a massive fan of monochrome but there is something about all white in summer that is so timeless and sleek - specially the tailored pieces and I think Sheinside have got it just right for Summer 2014.

CLEANING MAKE UP BRUSHES

Something I think most people underestimate is how often you should clean your make up brushes. I ended up with the thought that if I had a breakout one day and covered it with make up then my brushes also held the ability to make me break out, and when I came to use them next I would be smothering my face in breakout potential. Very weird I know but at least I now keep my brushes clean..

I just pump a little bit of the baby shampoo into my hand and swirl the brushes round a few times and rinse them off. I cannot stress how important it is to lie them down because the water gets into the base of the bristles and can damage the glue thus leaving you with damaged brushes.

BABY SHOWER

Yesterday was the day that all my hard work over the past couple of months has finally come together and I hosted one of my closest friends baby showers. Everything is pretty self explanatory however I forgot my good camera so you'll have to bear with the crappy iPhone quality sorry!!

Luckily it was gorgeous weather so the perfect day for the baby shower, we had a huge buffet and plenty of cake followed by some games. My personal fave involved us all bringing in a picture of us as a baby and they were stuck to the wall and we had to guess who was who - again I forgot to take pictures of us playing I'm so annoyed!! The baby food challenge was hilarious however I did need a bucket on one occasion, safe to say "scrumptious Sunday dinner" is not so scrumptious after all..... Finally I made a calender of dates leading up to my friends due date and days after and we all put stickers on when we think her little boy will make an arrival and there will be a prize for the person closest to the date!!

The day took a lot of planning and decorating and I am so relived it ran so smoothly and everyone was happy :) check out my previous baby shower post for links on where I got some bits and bobs. Others bought bunting and cake stands and again I got a bit caught up and failed at getting pictures of the gifts.....

I hope this helped if you're looking to host something similar! Enjoy your day :)
