MIDWEEK WEEKEND OOTD

I'm late on the bandwagon but I am in love with turtle neck tops at the minute!! I managed to bag myself a couple from Oxfam for only £2.99 each so keep an eye out for the other one popping up in a few posts time. We finally got a tiny bit of sun where I live today so I thought I'd get a few quick snaps for you.

I was feeling pretty lazy today so for the first time in weeks I chucked a pair of leggings for comfort and my River Island jacket mentioned in a previous OOTD (see here), teamed with my black Boohoo croc ankle boots and I was done for the day.

My everyday make up teamed up with MAC's Pink Plaid (matte) - a gorgeous pale pink that leaves your teeth looking pearly white. I would suggest going into your local MAC store to try this colour though as I feel the colour on the website doesn't do it justice and can look very different on a range of skin tones.

WISHLISH WEDNESDAY - BOOHOO.COM

Last weeks Wishlish Wednesday seemed successful so a week later we're here again!! After purchasing my first pair of shoes from Boohoo.com last week, (see blog post here) I found myself lusting over many more pairs and I cam across these absolute gems. The "Kendal Patent Cleated Sole Gladiator Sandals", I have no other words but WOW.

I've tried venturing out of my comfort zone of monochrome over the past few weeks but I seem to have returned to it however being more adventurous with the items I style. Boohoo have got it spot on with these sandals, I feel they are so versitile which is a must with the UK's unpredictable weather forecast. Despite the fact I am already 5'9 the chunky heels appeals to me more than ever, comfort and style - winner!! I would love to style these with a pair of mom jeans which I am yet to purchase, with a black turtle neck jumper topped off with my long, white Primark jacket.

Until next payday... *sigh*

BOOHOO CROC CUT OUT ANKLE BOOTS

I never believed in love at first sight (besides Ryan Gosling), until I spotted these beauties on the Boohoo website and when I saw they were the very last pair I had to pop them in my basket right away!!! Unfortunately they have totally sold out so I cant leave a link, however I can bombard you with pictures and give you some kind of idea as to what Boohoo have to offer. Fingers crossed they come back into stock asap so you can all get your hands on a pair.

These gorgeous shoes are described as a patent "mock" croc print with gold hardware. They are so so comfortable which is great as they can be worn with or without socks, matched with turned up jeans or even dresses. At such a reasonable price of £30 the quality is amazing - the great sturdy heel and super soft lining is lush.

I've bought plenty of clothing items from Boohoo.com before however never ordered shoes, but as far as a first impression goes I'll be wearing the life out of these and certainly be back for more - especially as they sent me an email containing 20% off my next order!!!

WISHLIST WEDNESDAY - MOTEL ROCKS

Here I am again, questioning as to why I don't already own this co-ordinating top and bottom set from Motel Rocks!!! Witness it for yourself here

I can't describe how in awe I am by this tshirt/trouser set. The vibrant, windsor blue will compliment so many different skin tones and hair colours. Whilst the relaxed, tailored fit is perfect for anyone that loves a smart yet effortless look.

Unfortunately me and my bank account would have to have a falling out if I gave in and paid £62.00 for the set, so it's staying here on my wishlist until next pay day..... Visit the Motel Rocks website for yourself and join me in swooning over the rest of their fabulously designed pieces.

SIMPLISTIC OOTD

Today was a very boring day, consisting of cleaning, responding to emails and job hunting yet I still had time to brace to cold and take a few snaps of my outfit.

A simple white tee from Tesco, (see here) and black skinny jeans from Primark for me is the absolute easiest outfit regardless of weather I'm staying in, popping to town or even going for a meal. It is the most simple of ideas and it is the job of the accessories and makeup to say "notice me". I fell in love with this jacket as soon as I saw it, but I still think £35 is a bit steep considering it very thin. Again I feel it can be dressed up to go for evening drinks or just chucked on for days like today.

I can't remember where I got these shoes from but they are very much inspired by the Chloé Susanna Studded Ankle boots - only difference is mine cost me about £25.. These are all over eBay, chockersshoes.com and loads of other cheap online stores. They always get a lot of attention and I have worn the life out of them I've had to have them re-healed once and they are well overdue another!!

My skin is very tempremental throughout the colder weather so I decided to keep my make up simple yet topped off with a bold lip in one of my faves from my entire lipstick collection - GOSH FRUITY ORANGE (153)

CASUAL SUNDAY OOTD

I spent most of my day replying to emails and browsing the internet but I popped out for a quick coffee with a couple of friends and took a few outfit pictures before I left. Excuse the poor lighting, it won't be improving in the uk for another few months yet...

I am absolutely in love with this jacket from Primark and for only £25 it was an absolute steal!! I can only hope they still have it in store as it is one of my staple pieces for spring this year. I layered it with one of Next's basic long sleeve t-shirts which fit like a glove (even when you're tall like me), and topped it off with my favourite statement necklaces I bought from Primark a few months back.

I found these gorgeous navy tartan trousers in the sale at Zara tucked at the back of the rail hanging alone - regardless of the fact they were a tad too big I couldn't say no. Although I'm now regretting this after joining Slimming World they're a little baggier around the knees than I expected... I highly doubt they are still selling these which really is a shame as the quality of them are fab and they are easily dressed down for a casual day or paired with chunky heels for classy an evening look.
I added these gorgeous, black loafers from Next which took forever to break in but since then they have not left my feet!! They are so comfy and versatile and I feel they bring together any outfit.

Last but not least I added this simple black bag, which also comes with a long body strap for those who carry too much in their bag - of this I am also guilty.. I got it from eBay a long, long time ago however there are so many similar ones and some even nicer if you just search "black tote bag" almost all my bags are from eBay as I love how cheap they are and the quality is so impressive - I'm yet to have any of mine break on me.

I hope you love this look as much as I do,

JOHN FRIEDA LUXURIOUS VOLUME

Hi lovelies!!
I know I said I'd be here more than once a week and I've been slacking already but life has been pretty none stop at the minute but I'm back and more in love than ever with this hair product I'm about to let you in on.
After undergoing the "chop" last spring I have been loving my bob, however in the UK its cold 70% of the year and the short hair was certainly not the best hairstyle for keeping my neck warm so I decided I wanted longer hair again and now I'm on the journey of putting some life back into my hair, without the use of heat but also finding something to put some "umfph" into it.
I know everyone loves Boots for their offers and when I spotted the JOHN FRIEDA Luxurious Volume products I couldn't say no at 3 for £10. I'm not sure how long this range has been out for, I could be v late jumping on the bandwagon but my oh my it is amazing!! I've never had faith in a shampoo that can give you volume but I can guarantee you will be gobsmacked. My hair is naturally quite thin and even after a blow-dry it is lifeless, however with the Luxurious Volume shampoo followed by the conditioner my hair looked like it had that second day, dirty, workable volume that I could anything with.
I cannot rant about this range enough and I'm sure my friends and family are soon to be getting an earful about how fab it is!!

(Extra tip: Part way through my blow-dry, I like to finish the look off with a spritz of the JOHN FRIEDA Daily Miracle Leave in Conditioner to keep my ends nourished and silky smooth.)

I'll be here again soon... I promise this time.

MAYBELLINE COLOR SHOW

Like every other woman on planet earth I have been searching all my life for a long lasting, affordable, drug store nail varnish with a wide variety of colours and I think I may have just found the perfect range....
..Maybelline Color Show

Pictured right: Cool Touch, Cool Blue, Love Lilac and Coral Craze.

(Cue sob story) - When it comes to nail varnish I have always been a big fan of the Rimmel London Lasting Finish collection, however no matter what, my nails are ALWAYS chipped within 24 hours. On top of that I can never bring myself to spend £7-£8 on a nail varnish when they get chip so easily. Also if I did end up enjoying the product it can amount to being an expensive choice.
So, I was in Superdrug one day and by chance came across the Maybelline Color Show nail varnishes simply out of interest as they were only £2.99 and also 3 for 2!! Winner!! I picked up in the colour "Love Lilac", which has a lovely but very subtle blue shimmer to it. After applying 2 coats and my trusty Sally Hansen top coat I let it dry and went about my day. I'm still here a full week later with only ONE chipped nail!!! Any surprise I went back today and purchased three more?? Nope. According to Maybelline this range of polishes contain a transparent gel base which I assume is the reason for the impressive longevity of them.

I am so impressed with this range and as long as they continue to bring out more fabulous colours I will certainly continue to buy them. Be sure to check out all Maybelline's current colours here and maybe pick one up for yourself. Or two... Or three...

GARNIER MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER

I've been loyal to facial wipes since I first started experimenting with make up, however I've decided to be a tad more experimental when it comes to alternatives - so here is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, a miracle in a bottle!!

With facial wipes I always found myself having to use another product to remove the remainder of my make up after using a FULL wipe. Whereas with the cleansing water you simply add a few drops to a cotton pad and watch your make up instantly disappear. I have normal to dry skin and expected this to suck the living life out of my face but it is surprisingly a really hydrating product - besides moisturiser. Its scent free which means you can add your favourite night moisturiser on top and not end up smelling like a sweet shop!! Bonus!!
My favourite thing about this is that unlike make up wipes, the tiniest mistake in your make up can be removed using just a drop of the Micellar water rather than using an entire make up wipe and having none left after 2 weeks... It also claims that 400ml = 200 uses!!
I haven't seen this in many other shops but I picked mine up for just £2.99 in Savers.
All in all, massive high five to Garnier!

THE BEGINNING

I can honestly say, I never thought I would see the day I started a blog, but lo and behold here I am.
After feeling unenthusiastic for a long time about a lot of things I decided I should stop being negative and combine a few aspects of life I actually enjoyed - writing, fashion, beauty, fitness.. and spending my weekly wages.
One reason I decided to take it upon myself to start blogging, is that I was inspired by one of my friends after a long conversation as to why we weren't doing anything productive about something we enjoyed. I'll link her down below and you can go check her out if you wish.

Although I have followed a handful of blogs for a while, I am a complete newby to it myself so please be nice!!
I can safely say I'll be here at least once a week, stay tuned.
